Don’t get Fired!! Is a indie Mobile game from Dan Kimchi with over one million downloads. It’s a realistic survival RPG (role playing game) game that simulates working life. When you think of working life what comes to mind are young office workers who are working hard to advance their chosen career paths, the gameplay itself is fun because you are trying not to get ‘fired’ and when you do it's for the most trivial of matters.
Furthermore, in the game “Don’t get Fired”, you will play as a young man who came to find work in South Korea, starting with no money, no connections, nothing at all. You have to get a job interview with the company where you can begin to climb yourself to the top and become the president of the company. Many of you may think that this task is simple, easy even, however, you are sorely mistaken as getting the job interview proves difficult. Some players may have to apply 5 or 6 times before they get an interview just like real life.
Seems easy enough right? Wrong.. There will be obstacles that you will have to face during this process that will get you fired before you are promoted. Whether, you aren't doing enough work to satisfy your boss or you work too hard and your character gets sick to the point where you have to quit the job, including a bunch of other reasons you can get fired, find out the other reasons by trying it yourself. We learn that you have to balance your health or you will die or fail. Going to let you know a little secret, if you work too hard and complete all tasks you can get fired because there is no more work to complete!
As you work, your goal as a trainee is to collect enough points to get the promotion so that you can reach higher positions in the company. When you have been working awhile your boss will invite you to do various activities or ask you to answer questions, to be able to do the activities you will need to use the coins that you have collected. Answering the questions correctly will give you more points towards your promotion, giving the wrong answers will mean you spent your coins for no reason also lowering your promotion score.
When you have played until you are able to get a promotion (Full EXP bar) you will be offered a promotion. In which you will be able to see what the chances of promotion are (in the form of a %). Failing to get the promotion will result in you getting fired, getting fired early on isn’t necessarily a bad thing as you will be able to upgrade your characters stats to increase your chances the next time. There are 4 categories for character stats.
Working: Will allow you to complete tasks faster
Speaking: helps with answering questions for your boss thus increasing the chances of promotion.
Health: increasing health will allow you to work harder making it easier to balance work.
Leadership: this will help when you reach higher positions in your company.
Aside from trying to become the president of the company the game also lets you collect positions where you left off and shows the reasons behind why you got fired.
